It was Resolved, "That this House, while recognising the importance of television to elderly people, reaffirms the policy pursued by successive Governments of increasing beenfits in cash rather than in kind; and welcomes the substantial increases for retirement pensioners that have been made since the General Election and the decision to implement an annual review of pensions".
