Annotation | This is the first fourth issue of the journal to appear in the same year, as part of a single volume. It is also the first to be given over to a single theme in the study of ageing - comparative history of ageing in Britain and specifically in England. Laslett introduces each of the articles and provides an overview to this area of study which is deemed to be newly explored. Amongst the most recent research methodology used in this area, is the computer simulation of kin sets and kin counts, and CAMSIN is introduced as an open population simulation output. CAMSIN is developed by a Cambridge Group based in the University. (KJ). |
