Shopping for food | Corporate Author | Age Concern |

Pages | 50 pp |
Keywords | Shops ; Food ; Social surveys. |
Annotation | This survey is based on analysis of 1216 questionnaires filled in by pensioners either at clubs or on visits to their homes by volunteers. Results indicated a restricted element of choice in shopping, caused to some extent by the process of ageing and disability. Major factors causing disadvantage in food shopping were accessibility, finding food in the right quantities, food packaging, and poverty. |
