AnnotationThese regulations relate to registration and conduct of residential care homes under Part I of the Registered Homes Act 1984, and came into force on 1st January 1985. They cover: particulars to be supplied on application for registration; registration fees; the time limit for registration; the amount of fee payable annually; compilation and maintenance of records by the home, and registers by the registration authority; consultation with the fire authority on fire precautions; the conduct of homes; provision of facilities and services; visits by relatives and friends, also by the person in control of the home; religious observance; notification of death, illness or accident; notice of termination of accommodation; complaints procedure; offences; and inspection of homes.
