Annotation | The survey reported here is the third in the series of National movers surveys. The first and second, which covered England and Wales, were undertaken in 1972 and 1974, but not published as such: `Housing policy technical volumes' (HMSO, 1977) draws extensively on their findings. The present survey provides information about the numbers and characteristics of households entering different tenures and moving between them; reasons for moving and distances moved; and type of accommodation.
