Annotation | Four years after the Seebohm reorganisation of social services, area teams are grappling with the problems of very greatly increased demands, lack of resources, of opportunity to undertake preventive work, and of specialist skills. This article outlines some of the ways in which an area team is trying to obtain limited resources, make some decisions about priorities of work, and tackle the problem of specialisation. (RH). |
