Annotation | Changes in life expectation in the previous 100 years and health problems of the 1970s are examined. Also considered are differences in mortality statistics and the widely differing incidence of disease between the UK and other western nations, between regions within the UK, and between social classes. Later chapters examine some of the techniques used in prevention.
