Annotation | This White Paper has two functions. First it is the Government's formal response to the Social Services and Employment Sub-Committee of the House of Commons Expenditure Committee's 1st report session 1976/77, Preventive medicine. It also follows up the 1976 consultative document, "Prevention and health: everybody's business". Subjects covered include: health education; smoking; positive steps to healthy living; and prevention in the health and other social services. Conclusions refer to the role of the Health Department, Area Health Authorities and other bodies. (RH). |
