Annotation | A survey of women aged 18 and over in South Wales, based on which the prevalence of "significant" urinary incontinence in the general population of women is between 3.5% and 7.1%. For most women affected, the loss of urine was small and infrequent. More than 3% of all women reported that incontinence interfered with their social and domestic life, but only half of these had sought medical advice. (RH). |
