Annotation | Members of the Sub-Committee were appointed by the Central Housing Advisory Committee to consider the practicability of specifying objective criteria for the purposes of slum clearance, rectification of disrepair and other purposes of slum clearance relating to minimum tolerable standards of housing accommodation. Their main conclusions concerned the strengthening of some of the powers of local authorities with regard to securing improvement, repair or clearance for the condition of all houses. (RH). |
