AnnotationThe findings in this report are based on a cross-sectional study of 365 older people who participated in the 1967/68 Nutrition Survey of the Elderly and in the follow-up study in 1972/73. The surveys covered demographic and socioeconomic characteristics; diet; medical status; biochemistry; haematology; malnutrition; and special groups, including housebound older people and smokers.
