Annotation | These appendices form part of an enquiry undertaken for the Ministry of Labour and National Insurance in 1963. More than 30% of those aged 65 and over had moved house at least once in the previous ten years, to be nearer friends and relatives, or for improved housing amenities. Older workers in the sample examined were either self-employed, in service industries, or doing part-time, lower status jobs. |
