Annotation | People who deviate for customary forms of behaviour are likely to be labelled mentally ill. This article describes such a process and its consequences in old people's homes. It would appear that deviant acts may reveal that it is we who construct the social world. This is to be contrasted with those in authority who would prefer the social world to appear as part of a "natural" order. |
