Annotation | This Bill put into effect proposals in the White Paper `Housing in England and Wales' (Cmnd 1290). It makes further arrangements for the giving of financial assistance for the provision of housing accommodation. It confers further powers on local authorities relating to houses in multiple occupation (HMOs), and other buildings affected by clearance or demolition orders. It also makes provision for town development, and for subsidies to the Commission for the New Towns. (RH). |
