AnnotationThe Department of Health and Social Security (DHSS) was formed on the merger in 1968 of the Ministries of Health and of Social Security. The 1973 edition is the first report by the DHSS of its R&D work and is designed to provide a broad view of the overall scale, range and variety of the Department's R&D activities. The 1976 volume covers work undertaken between April 1975 to March 1976 and follows the format of the first edition. An index by subject heading of work undertaken is listed. The Chief Scientist's Research Committee members are also given as an appendix. (KJ).
