Annotation | The Window in Homes Programme was managed and undertaken by the Social Care Association (Education), co-ordinated from the Social Care Practice Centre at the University of Warwick. It is part of the Caring in Homes Initiative set up by the Department of Health (DoH) in 1989, to follow up some of the recommendations in the Wagner report, 'Residential care - a positive choice'. This programme summary describes a project which aims to promote more contact between residential establishment and community, and stimulate more involvement by residents in the life of the home and outside activity. |
