Annotation | Inside Quality Assurance (IQA) is a method for residential homes to assess their standards, developed by a team from the Centre for Environmental and Social Studies in Ageing (CESSA) based at the Polytechnic of North London. It is part of the Caring in Homes Initiative set up by the Department of Health (DoH) in 1989, to follow up some of the recommendations in the Wagner report, 'Residential care - a positive choice'. |
