Annotation | A memorandum by the Welsh Office looks at the main challenges for care and the response of services over the past decade; and looks forward to the demographic and wider social and economic changes which will present future challenges for services. It therefore updates the programme of action set out in the chapter on Wales in the 1989 White Paper, "Caring for people: community care in the next decade and beyond" (Cm 849). Evidence to the Welsh Affairs Committee from the Head of the Community Care Division and two other senior professional colleagues from the Welsh Office is also included. (RH). |
