Annotation | This interim report charts the development of the Gateshead Elderly Arts Project from its inception during Autumn 1989. Gateshead's older population is steadily rising in real and proportional terms, and feedback and evaluation from previous arts work identified the potential for long-term arts projects as part of the required increase in services for older people. Dance and creative movement work together with music were selected as the main art forms for the Project's first two years, and described in this report. (RH). |
