Annotation | This report is the outcome of a project which aimed to devise and test a model which would help agencies responsible for providing residential care and agencies concerned with inspection, to make qualitative evaluations of the performance of residential care homes. Two aspects of quality were identified: the care provided by the residential care home, and life as experienced by the residents. The factors which contribute to good quality care and life experience in homes were identified: privacy; dignity; independence; choice; rights; and fulfilment. (AKM). |
