Annotation | Those aged 65 in 2018 can expect to live to 85, nearly 10 years longer than their parents' generation. The Centre for Ageing Better (CfAB) vision is for more people in later life to be in good health, financially secure, to have social connections, and feel that their lives are meaningful and purposeful. This strategy proposes four priorities: healthy ageing, fulfilling work, safe and accessible housing, and connected communities. For each, it suggests why change is needed, CfAB's goal, what needs to change, what CfAB will do, and how progress will be measured. The strategy will focus on those approaching later life and who are at risk, as exemplified by two case studies. (RH). |
