Annotation | The authors report on a one-day event in Cardiff in May 2016 on loneliness and isolation in later life, held by the British Society of Gerontology (BSG) Emerging Researchers in Ageing (ERA) in partnership with Ageing Well in Wales and the Campaign to End Loneliness. The event brought together emerging academic researchers, community project teams, service providers, practitioners and older people to discuss perspectives on, and research needs for, combatting loneliness and isolation. This article outlines some key areas of research, and the need to develop resources and share good practice on the themes discussed. (RH). |
