Annotation | This special section includes an editorial followed by four articles that between them focus on different aspects of loneliness and isolation among older adults. Topics include: lived citizenship and engagement in later life; age-friendly communities, social capital and cohesion; reverse mentoring as a means of addressing social isolation; and exploring constructs of social integration for older adults living in nursing homes.
