Annotation | Over the next decade, the NHS will need to respond to the needs of a population with increasing levels of chronic health, on budgets that are unlikely to grow substantially. The National Association of Primary Care (NAPC) commissioned this report from the Nuffield Trust. The author examines the arguments for encouraging and enabling general practices to take a much more proactive role in improving the health and well-being of their local populations, as well as of their individual patients.
