Annotation | Life expectancy at 65 has increased by six years since the 1950s. This report explores aspects of health in later life and the significance of the 2012 European Year for Active Ageing and Solidarity between Generations. In particular, it seeks to highlight the part that pharmacists, pharmacies and pharmaceuticals should play in future, in extending healthy life expectancies, and ensuring that longer lives are also prosperous and happy.
