AnnotationThe Campaign to End Loneliness contracted the Personal Social Services Research Unit (PSSRU) to conduct this systematic review, which looks at what we know about the economic case for tackling loneliness, and suggests steps that could be taken to strengthen the evidence base on the cost-effectiveness of actions to tackle loneliness. It provides evidence on different types of intervention: befriending; participation in social and healthy lifestyle activities; and signposting and navigating services. (RH).
