Annotation | Ensuring that hospital patients with dementia have enough to eat and drink is notoriously problematic. The authors have found that their "NoSH" (Nutritional Support in Hospital) project at three London hospitals (St Mary's Paddington, Charing Cross and Hammersmith) has resulted in significantly better outcomes for patients. They illustrate the project's impact on improved outcomes for patients after 6 months in respect of weight loss, hospital-acquired infections, challenging behaviour, the need for one-to-care, and dehydration.
