Annotation | A postal questionnaire was sent to 2954 members of Bristol Older People's Forum (BOPF) in June 2006. 561 were completed (19%). The survey's purpose was to assess and establish a benchmark of the quality of life of older people in Bristol. Among issues covered are: physical health; mental and emotional well-being; social contacts; financial situation; repair condition and suitability of home; quality of care and support; use of leisure and cultural facilities; physical environment; security; ability to travel and to improve circumstances; and whether the next five years are likely to be better or worse. Appendices include the questionnaire, a summary report, and responses on the one thing that would most improve current quality of life (by sex and age group). (RH) |
