AnnotationThis guide aims to raise awareness of the end of life care needs of lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans (LGBT) older people, by providing information for health and social care staff and volunteers. It presents key facts on concerns about accessing health and social care services, and issues around disclosure of sexual orientation or gender identity. It includes points for discussion that could be used in training sessions. It is intended to complement the NCPC publication and DVD, 'Open to all? Meeting the needs of lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans people nearing the end of life'. Support from the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) is acknowledged. (RH).
