Annotation | Describes and introduces the Livability Index, a groundbreaking tool developed by AARP that scores every neighbourhood and community in the United States for the services and amenities that affect people's lives the most. The Index measures 60 indicators spread across seven categories of livability: housing, neighbourhood, transportation, environment, health, engagement and opportunity. These categories of livability closely align with the eight domains of age-friendliness used by the World Health Organization. (JL). |
