AnnotationLearn Together Cymru (LTC) is funded by the Big Lottery Fund for Wales, is managed by Volunteering Matters UK, and is a volunteer-led intergenerational project aimed at improving children's basic skills and the well-being of the adult volunteers who support them. LTC builds on 5 years' experience of schools volunteering in Wales and on the National Programme for Reading Volunteers (NPRV) funded by the Welsh Government. Following evaluation of the NPRV, Volunteering Matters identified the need for a project such as LTC. This article outlines LTC's activities and lessons learned; and notes its unique features: organisational model, partnerships and that learning resources were developed. (RH).
