AnnotationIn 2013/14, over 13 million people in the UK lived in low income households. This figure was largely unchanged from the previous year and, as a proportion of the population, a decade earlier, but the mix has changed. Just over half of those in poverty live in working families. As many live in privately rented as in social rented housing and more people aged 16-24 are in poverty than those over 65. (NH).
