Annotation	The Division for Social Policy and Development of the United Nations (UN) Department of Economic and Social Affairs organised an Expert Group Meeting on Neglect, Abuse and violence of Older Women,n which was held 5-7 November 2013. The meeting focused on the conceptual policy and societal challenges related to neglect, abuse, and violence against older women. Papers in this special issue of Journal of Elder Abuse and Neglect are part of the outcome of that EGM. While international in perspective, most of the papers report on situations in the US; other countries that are considered are Serbia (this is on financial abuse), Ghana, China, Canada and Australia.
