AnnotationForAge (www.foragenetwork.eu) was a multi-lateral network, funded by the Grundtvig Programme of the European Union, and running from January 2012-March 2015. Its core aims were to provide a single access point for information, research and ideas about later-life learning in Europe and to connect ideas, projects, research and the voices of older people with policy and practice. In summer 2013, the ForAge project was at the mid-point of its funding period and submitted to Brussels a substantial interim progress report on its activities and thinking to that point. The report was subsequently approved. This short article is based on that report and seeks to draw out the issues concerning later-life learning with which the 16 network partners were dealing at the time. The article discusses targets and objectives; implementation; structuring the field; and plans and prospects. (JL).
