Annotation | In April 2015, Jessica Kingsley published 'Dementia, culture and ethnicity: issues for all' edited by Julia Batsford and Karen Harrison. The book highlights the experiences of black and minority ethnic (BME) populations to receive the right care, for providers to offer the best support, and how some providers and groups have dealt with culture and ethnicity as a focus point to develop projects. The focus is on Lewisham and Southwark, and then on Futuro Latin America (FULA), a Latin American elders group of people aged 50+. (RH). |
