Annotation | The provision of LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender)-specific care home is a rapidly increasing trend marking new patterns in increasing choices for diverse groups of older people. This research study sought the views and perspectives of residential and nursing home staff across Wales on the provision of services to LGBT older adults. Overall findings of the study showed that care provision for older people with diverse sexual needs and desires remains challenging terrain for managers and staff alike. However an unequivocal message from the project was the commitment of care staff and providers to `do things better' for residents in their care and continue to develop more socially inclusive practice.
