AnnotationEURAGE, established in 2008, is an international team of researchers specialising in ageism, attitudes to age and cross-national comparisons. The group aims to inform policy-makers, stakeholders and end users from different European countries about ageism, age attitudes and their relationship to the societal context. It reports that ageism is the most commonly experienced form of prejudice in the UK and across Europe. Ageism takes different forms but is often experienced as being treated with lack of respect because of one's age. (JL).
