AnnotationIn this article a Postgraduate Researcher and Clinical Studies Officer reflects on her experiences of sharing a cup of tea with people with dementia in their homes. Drinking tea is an established cultural pattern deeply entrenched in the daily life of English people. Enjoying a cup of tea together can be a useful ice-breaker when forming relationships with clients, and can help foster an atmosphere where they can be open and honest. (JL).
