Annotation | AGE Platform Europe is a pan-European, not-for-profit organisation representing the interests of older people in Europe. In December 2014 AGE held its General Assembly, offering delegate members the opportunity to voice their views on ageing and older people's related issues. A practical format of debate and engagement were the breakout sessions. Four breakout sessions were held on day two of the Assembly covering the following themes: improving accessibility and promoting design-for-all; supporting Europe 2020 social objectives on poverty reduction and employment; ensuring access to quality health and long-term care; and enhancing the protection of older consumers.
