AnnotationDescribes and evaluates the Timberdine Nursing and Rehabilitation Unit, based in Worcester, which provides 24 hour nursing care and rehabilitation for stroke patients. The Unit is unique in design and delivery and one of the first in Britain to offer a broad range of patents in one place in the community. The Unit employs 15.74 Whole Time Equivalent (WTE) registered nurses, 2 WTE therapists and a social worker; these include a core stroke team. Staff at the Unit have been awarded a Customer Service Excellence Standard for maintaining high levels of customer service. (JL).
