Annotation | Fifty-four older people (aged 60+) from three developing countries were interviewed or given a questionnaire to complete. Participants were 10 older people from three villages in Indonesia, 15 from the northern region of Tanzania, 15 from Iquitos in the Amazon jungle of Peru, and 14 from Lima, capital of Peru. An interpretive descriptive approach was used to explore older people's perceptions of the positive aspects of ageing and their concerns about growing older, preliminary findings on which are outlined in this article.
