Annotation | The Government's drive to going 'digital by default' follows the technological trend towards online-based forms of interactions with service users. However, there is still a large population of people who are not online. This paper summarises a research project targeted at understanding the issues of digital inclusion with respect to older Londoners. It identifies the obstacles to getting online, and what encourages getting online. It proposes a model and transitions for digital inclusion. It proposes recommendations for regional and local government, Age UK London (AUKL), voluntary sector organisations, and older people themselves. (RH). |
