AnnotationThe article discusses the national strategic policy for active ageing in Malta for 2014-2020. It provides an overview of the island's active ageing policies to increase older workers in the labour market and allow those reaching the statutory retirement age to stay in or re-enter employment. The policy offers recommendations for continuous vocational training for older adults, improving healthy working conditions and employment services. Other recommendations include older people's participation in society, income security, older volunteering, grandparenthood, adult learning, digital competence, civic engagement, support for informal carers, independent living, and age- and dementia-friendly communities.
