Annotation | This article focuses on the profile of older people in Russia. Older people play an important role in the society including grandparents, lay pensioners and cottage dwellers. Discusses the role of the family in providing care for older people. The government does not have a plan to increase the retirement age and pensions are regularly increased to keep pace with inflation. (JL). |
