It includes sections focusing on the emotional impact of a diagnosis; drug treatments that are available; signposting to services available through the NHS; social services, charities and private organisations; and support for carers. The guide has been endorsed by the Royal College of Psychiatrists (RCP), the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP) and the Association of Directors of Adult Social Services (ADASS). (RH).
