Annotation | The report is Age UK's overview of how society is meeting the needs of people in later life, and Age UK's agenda for public policy for 2013. While the indicators show that overall we are living longer, with increasing healthy life expectancy, and in better financial health, there are signs of growing inequality in respect of health and care. The report presents indicators on: money and work; health and well-being; home and care; and travel and lifestyle. It comments on the gap in funding for social care and how this results in pressures on family and informal carers. A chapter on international action sets out the key priorities of Age International. Updated statistical information is available on Age UK's website (see: www.ageuk.org.uk/professional-resources-home/knowl... (RH). |
