Annotation | The author reports on five years of work to develop Dementia Champions in each of the Fremantle Trust's care homes across the Home Counties. The main reason for starting the champions project was the awareness that care staff were struggling to put into practice what they had learned in training about caring for residents with dementia. The article touches on the project's early work and the challenges in its implementation. (RH). |
