Annotation | In the first part of this review of the relevance and use of the Mental Capacity Act 2005 (MCA) for people with dementia, carers and practitioners, the authors present evidence of good practice. They also comment on aspects that the research suggests might usefully be reviewed. Three key studies on specific aspects of the MCA are summarised: independent advocacy, best interests, and safeguarding provisions. (RH). |
