AnnotationThis article is a narrative describing the process of the project written by the project director, followed by an observational evaluation from the Centre for Urban Community Research at Goldsmiths College. It shares the process and outcomes of Grandchildren of the Blitz, an intergenerational community theatre project run by London Bubble in 2011. The process of making community drama from gathered oral histories has positive outcomes for older people, children and adults as individuals; and the theatre that results has a wider positive impact on audiences drawn from the immediate community. The article points the reader towards a fuller evaluation study, and a follow-up project. (RH).
