Annotation | The Law Commission has been undertaking a review of the legal framework regarding regulation of health care professionals in the UK and social workers in England. This paper summarises the main provisional proposals from the consultation paper published in March 2012, which argued for the reform of the law in this area. The main problem is that there are 31 different health professions, which are represented by organisations whose legal frameworks have been established in different ways and at different times.
